Children International at the University of Arkansas invites applications for the part-time position of Communications Coordinator (req #657). Children International works with parents, Little Rock School District and partners to offer educational, health, and family services for 2500 children. This is a part-time position with benefits, beginning as soon as the position is filled.
JOB SUMMARY: The Communications Coordinator will work with a team of staff and partners to perform public relations functions, develop and implement a communications plan, and complete special projects. Specific duties include developing stories, taking photos, shooting video, conducting research to facilitate and maintain website, special publications, and budget oversight.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree required in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or Related. Two years experience in working in public relations management or administration. Demonstrated experience in working with non-profits preferred. Strong technical writing and organizational skills, experience in project management, ability to work independently, excellent oral and written communication skills, and demonstrated commitment to work with diverse constituencies.
