The University of Arkansas at Little Rock seeks applicants, in anticipation of a grant funded position, to fill the position of Research Associate/Research Assistant Professor, (req# 673) beginning July 1, 2009. This full-time, non-tenure track, 12-month appointment will carry a competitive salary and excellent benefits. Reappointment is possible but dependent upon satisfactory performance and continuation of funding.

Applicants must: have a record of research and scholarly activity in information quality, entity resolution, identity resolution, or a closely related area; demonstrate evidence of teaching ability at the college or university level, and hold a PhD at the time of the appointment. A background in information visualization or data mining of sensor datastreams is highly desirable.

The position responsibilities are to participate in the ongoing research activities of the ERIQ Laboratory and to teach courses in UALR’s Information Quality Graduate Program. The research activities include collaboration with graduate students, faculty research investigators, and industry and government research partners; writing research papers for publication in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings; and assisting in the preparation of grant applications;.
