The Department of Economics and Finance at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) invites qualified nominees and candidates for the recently-endowed Joe Ford Chair of Finance (Req. # 730). Those wishing to be considered should be recognized as a leading scholar in the field of Finance. All finance specialties will be considered.

Minimum requirements for this tenured, full-professor appointment include an exceptional research record, as evidenced by publications in the leading scholarly journals in finance and financial economics, demonstrated classroom excellence, and evidence of a capacity for intellectual leadership. This position will begin in the fall of 2010.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is a metropolitan university, committed to academic excellence, located in the commercial hub of Arkansas. Student enrollment is approximately 12,000. The College of Business is accredited by the AACSB at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. It offers BBA, MS, MBA, and Executive MBA degree programs. A total of 12 full-time faculty members bring an impressive range of expertise to the Department, with doctorates and advanced training from some of the country’s leading universities.
