The UALR Department of Chemistry invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in Organic Chemistry (R98818) starting August 15, 2010. The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Department of Chemistry is dedicated to high quality education at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The candidate is expected to establish and maintain a strong research program in synthetic organic chemistry, although other areas of organic, polymer and green chemistry will be considered. Candidate will be expected to teach biochemistry courses as part of their duties.

Required qualification is a Ph.D. in Chemistry (preferably Organic Chemistry). A transcript indicating Ph.D. degree completion must received by UALR before employment commences. The UALR Department of Chemistry offers B.A, B.S, M.A. and M.S. degrees in Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry jointly with the Department of Applied Science.
