MIT Chief Data Officer and Information Quality Symposium July 23-24, 2014

The 8th Annual MIT Chief Data Officer and Information Quality (CDOIQ) Symposium will held on the MIT campus in Cambridge, MA, July 23 & 24, 2014.  This year’s conference theme is “Manage to Exploit Big Data and Information Quality” and the opening keynote address “The Implications of the Shift in Dominant Logic for Data Management” will be given by Richard Watson, Research Director for the Advanced Practices Council of the Society for Information Management, and J. Rex Fuqua, Distinguished Chair for Internet Strategy at the University of Georgia.  The agenda includes a number of presentations and panels including a presentation by Dr. John R. Talburt, Graduate Coordinator for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) Information Quality Graduate Program, and Dr. Yinle Zhou, IBM Data Scientist and UALR Affiliate Faculty Member, discussing “Strategies for Large-Scale Entity Resolution.”

The CDOIQ Conference was started in July 2006 by Dr. Richard Wang, Director of the MIT Information Quality Program and Co-Founder of the UALR Information Quality Graduate Program.  The conference has been the premier event that brings together Information Quality, vendors and educators for discussion of the latest research and best practices in the field.  Interested participants are encourage to register early.  Early registration of $495 per person is available until February 15, 2014.  In addition, students and faculty members of  the UALR Information Quality Graduate Program qualify for an additional 25% discount.  Registration will increase to $745 per person after February 15, 2014.
