UALR Information Quality Program Joins Celebration of World Quality Day November 13, 2014

In November, the Information Quality Graduate Program at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) will join the International Association for Information and Data Quality (IAIDQ) in celebrating World Quality Day on November 13, 2014. World Quality Day was established by the United Nations ins 1990 to increase worldwide awareness of the important contribution that quality makes toward the growth and prosperity of nations and enterprises. Dr. John R. Talburt, Graduate Coordinator for the UALR IQ Program and recently honored with the IAIDQ 2014 Distinguished Member Award, will join a panel of seven other international information quality professionals for a webinar on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at 11am Central Time. The free webinar is sponsored by the IAIDQ which is also celebrating its Tenth Anniversary this year. The UALR Student Chapter of the IAIDQ will also be sponsoring several on-campus events for the same day.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) is a world leader in information and data quality. In collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Information Quality Program and Acxiom Corporation, UALR was the first university to offer graduate degrees in information quality beginning in 2006. UALR now offers three IQ degrees, a Graduate Certificate in Information Quality, a Master of Science in Information Quality, and a PhD in Integrated Computing with an Emphasis in Information Quality. As of this year, more than 100 students have been graduated from these programs.
