Dr. Talburt Gives Keynote at Beijing Conference

John Talburt, Director of the UALR Information Quality Graduate Program, gave the keynote address at the 3rd International Symposium on the Cooperation and Promotion of Information Resources in Science and Technology (COINFO) held in Beijing, China, November 23, 2008.  Dr. Talburt spoke on “The Emergence of Information Quality as an Academic Discipline”.  Other invited speakers at the conference included Dr. Latif Al-Hakim, University of Southern Queensland, Australia; Professor Zhen-gou Yu, Zhejiang University City College, China; Dr. Martin Eppler, University of Lugano, Switzerland; Dr. Ganesan Shankaranarayanan, Boston University; Dr. Markus Helfert, Dublin City University, Ireland; and Dr. Jon Wright, AT&T Labs, Florham Park, New Jersey.
