UALR International Student Immigration Reporting/Check-In

All international students must physically check-in with OIS at the beginning of each Fall and Spring semester. In order to complete this process, students must bring their passports and relevant current immigration documents.

Before visiting OIS, you must have already completed registration confirmation to study full-time.

Please bring the following documents to our office:

Your valid passport

Your U.S. visa, used to enter the U.S. (Canadians are not required to get a U.S. visa from a U.S. embassy)

I-94 card

Originals of any and all immigration documents evidencing your legal status in the U.S., including: I-20 form (F-1 students), DS-2019 form (J exchange visitors including exchange students and interns), I-797 approval notice (issued to anyone receiving an approved change of immigration status), and / or temporary employment card

**J-1 exchange visitors only: Copy of your proof of health insurance coverage

**New students must bring all the above documents to the new international student orientation. Physical check-in at OIS is not required.
