Employment

Students enrolled full-time and in good academic standing are eligible to work on campus up to 20 hours a week during the academic year and full-time during university breaks including summer and winter. All international students must obtain authorization for employment by the Office of International Services before they can.

Instructions for Obtaining Work Authorization

  1. Submit all required employment applications to the department or office that you’re applying to.
  2. After you have been hired, request an official letter of employment from your employer that states who you are working for, how many hours a week you will be working and the date you are to begin work.
  3. Submit letter of employment to the Office of International Services.
  4. Complete the Work Authorization form provided by the Office of International Services.
  5. If you need a Social Security Number please request a letter from the Office of International Services authorizing for submission to the Social Security Administration.
  6. Complete all additional paperwork with Human Resources.

These steps must be followed and completed in order for you to be granted work authorization.
