Employment
Students enrolled full-time and in good academic standing are eligible to work on campus up to 20 hours a week during the academic year and full-time during university breaks including summer and winter. All international students must obtain authorization for employment by the Office of International Services before they can.
Instructions for Obtaining Work Authorization
- Submit all required employment applications to the department or office that you’re applying to.
- After you have been hired, request an official letter of employment from your employer that states who you are working for, how many hours a week you will be working and the date you are to begin work.
- Submit letter of employment to the Office of International Services.
- Complete the Work Authorization form provided by the Office of International Services.
- If you need a Social Security Number please request a letter from the Office of International Services authorizing for submission to the Social Security Administration.
- Complete all additional paperwork with Human Resources.
These steps must be followed and completed in order for you to be granted work authorization.
