APAC works with the three consortium universities to place interns in government and nonprofit agencies. Most recently, students have interned at the Department of Human Services, the Pulaski County government, and the city of Benton.
It is a win-win program: Students receive invaluable experience, while sponsoring agencies receive a knowledgeable temporary employee who can work on a special project or a specific area of need.
The organization has virtually no paperwork and the intern is gaining valuable on-the-job training and experience in a governmental or nonprofit area that is of interest to the student.  This is a part of the student’s curriculum.
Recent placements and agreements include DHS, Pulaski County, and the City of Benton.
