New wireless networks advertised campus wide

On November 8, 2016, two new wireless SSIDs have been advertised campus-wide, UALR-WiFi and UALR-IoT for use by a select group of individuals who have volunteered to be beta-testers.  UALR-WiFi is designed for laptops and computing devices that understand 802.1x protocols.  UALR-IoT is designed for Internet of Things (IoT) type devices such as game devices, multimedia streaming devices, and other technologies that don’t support 802.1x, or have limited capabilities such as no web browser.  On January 9, 2017, the new SSIDs will be available to all users campus-wide.
