Faster log-in speed now available at the IT Services computer lab

For many students and faculty, the IT Services computer lab, located on the first floor of the Ottenheimer Library, is a critical tool they use almost daily to assist them with class work, researching projects, and printing assignments.

Lab supervisor Cortney Webb reported that until recently, patrons often had to wait several minutes to load profiles before they could access the computers and begin their work.

Prior to the beginning of finals week,  IT Services installed an enhancement to the lab computers that increased log-in speed and significantly shortened wait times.

Users are now able to quickly enter their submissions or prints which in turn allows additional time for review before final completion.  The printers are more readily available and the patrons are extremely pleased with the results.
