Google is introducing a new Google Calendar user interface (UI) for the web using an automatic, gradual rollout that is currently underway.
The new look includes some great new features, such as improved room resource information, rich event descriptions, a side-by-side view, and more.
Google Calendar users will be automatically alerted by Google when accessing their calendar and given the option to immediately begin using the new calendar or postpone until a later time. The gradual rollout process will take several weeks to complete.
Any users who are still accessing the old Calendar UI on Feb. 28, 2018, will be automatically transitioned to the new UI.
If you would like to try out the new calendar design
- On a computer, open Google Calendar.
- On the top right of your screen select Use new Calendar.
- To go back to the old Calendar at any time before Feb. 28, 2018, select Settings > Back to classic Calendar.
