Wireless Beta

wifi-blueWe want to ensure that using the new wireless network will be a great experience for all of our users. As part of the quality assurance phase of the wireless network upgrade project, a beta testing group has been formed to test the new campus wireless system with a wide variety of hardware devices.

If you are a beta tester, we recommend you familiarize yourself with how to get started with your testing.

Can I be a member of the testing group?

The beta testing group is restricted to a select number of users across campus.

As a beta tester, what should I do to get ready?

A recently-authenticated NetID account is required to log into the new wireless network. If you have not logged into one of our SSO-enabled systems (Google Mail, Blackboard, TimeClockPlus, etc.) since Sept. 30, 2016, please do so now before you begin testing.

How will I get up-to-date info about the beta testing process?

Beta testers will be added to a closed announcement email group used to send updates regarding the new wireless network and beta testing process.

What are security best-practices for using devices on a network?

We encourage you to familiarize yourself with our IT Security standards and policies.
