Stephanie A. Dhonau

I work with both the ESL Endorsement program for teachers and the Master of Arts in Second Languages (MASL) program at UALR. Courses taught include Teaching People of Other Cultures, Second Language Acquisition and Second Language Assessment. I have developed several courses which are taught online.
Outside of UALR, I am very actively involved in the
American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL)’ Oral Proficiency Testing program. As a national trainer and tester of English language proficiency, I am involved in high-stakes language assessment for academic, business, and governmental settings.
I also serve on the board of directors of the
Central States Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages that serves a seventeen-state region. In the state of Arkansas I am serving as the Program Chair of the annual Arkansas Foreign Language Teachers Association conference for 2008.
I have had several publications in Foreign Language Annals and upcoming articles in Language Educator and the ADFL Bulletin. I was associate editor of the Central States Report 2006.
