International and Second Language Study

Language Resource Center

The Language Resource Center, located in Stabler Hall 202, offers a modern and inviting atmosphere for the study of foreign languages. There are twenty- four PC laptop computers available for individual. Classes may also visit as a group. The LRC is truly a “smart” facility with the latest multimedia to assist students in improving foreign language skills. In the LRC you can practice listening and speaking skills, watch DVD’s, view foreign films, access resources on the web, and practice conversation. If you prefer, you may bring your own laptop as the LRC has wireless connectivity. Many students find it a convenient place to study and review with classmates. Tutoring is offered throughout the semester, so check the schedule.

The LRC is open daily from 8:00am-5:00pm, though the hours may vary slightly from semester to semester so drop by for a current schedule. Native speakers and foreign language majors staff the facility and are available for help. If you have any questions, contact Sharon Sellars at sesellars@ualr.edu.
