TableTalkPlus(+) A Huge Networking Success

Great things are bound to happen when five major legal entities join forces to serve the needs of solo, small and medium-sized firms in the Arkansas legal community.  Attracting nearly 100 people – from law students in their last week of classes to seasoned  solo, small and medium firm professionals – the first annual TableTalkPlus(+) promised, and presented, a unique “customizable” event to the legal community and Bowen student body and recent graduates.  Participating firms were able to decide their own level of participation.  From simply sharing information with current law students and recent graduates about the local profession, to informally “sizing up” available talent and arranging interviews later, to formally interviewing in private accommodations with a full schedule of interested prospective associates or law clerks, the firms’ participation options were diverse.  Bowen Career Services hosted twenty-five law firms and other legal employers.  Dean John DiPippa welcomed them by expressing appreciation from the Bowen Law School community.

Special certificates of appreciation were given to the Arkansas Bar Association, Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, Pulaski County Bar Association and W. Harold Flowers Law Society for their support and participation.  For their amazing level of support, ATLA was recognized as the 2009 Co-sponsor of the Year.  Legal employers who missed TableTalkPlus(+) 2009 should watch for the announcement in early spring for the April 2010 event.
