Volunteers Needed for Programs on Professionalism

Students at the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law need strong examples of professionalism. Bowen alumni often serve as a great example of this core value in practice.

Interactions with professionals can make the difference in the life of a law student, and two programs at Bowen allow current attorneys a great way to be involved – the Professional Mentor program and the Student Dine-Around program.

The Professional Mentor program allows attorneys the chance to bring students to into their practices, to provide general information about the profession, and to introduce students to other legal professionals. To volunteer, contact the Bowen Career Services office via email or at 501.324.9436.

Student Dine-Around opportunities pair Bowen alumni with current students interested in specific areas of the law. The program offers current attorneys the chance to talk about their particular area of practice and meet students interested in that part of the law. Bowen graduates can host a lunch or dinner for four to five students, and details for the meal are coordinated by Bowen staff. Available event dates are:

  • Sept. 19 dinner
  • Oct. 24 lunch
  • Feb. 27 lunch or dinner

To volunteer to host a Dine-Around, contact Danyelle Walker via email.
