Law Journal Recognizes Graduate

A UALR William H. Bowen School of Law graduate was recently included in an annual law journal series that recognizes lawyers who help shape the profession in both “big and small” ways.

In its fourth-annual Legal Rebels listing, the ABA Journal featured 2005 Bowen graduate Vincent Morris, current director of the Arkansas Legal Services Partnerships.

According to the article, Morris literally loses his job every year. This is because it is “up to Morris to pitch innovative, effective, programs” in order for the program to secure the more than $17,000 in grant money necessary for the organization to keep functioning.

“I joke, but it’s true: I lose my job every year,” said Morris in the story.

During his time at the ALSP, Morris has helped get the organization funding for 14 grants. All of the projects the grants helped create are still in place.
