Applications are now being accepted for public service externships for the Spring 2013 semester.
For next spring, over 60 externships are available, including positions with state and federal judges, the Arkansas General Assembly, nonprofit organizations, and state, federal, and local government agencies. To be eligible for a Spring 2013 externship, students must have completed 30 credit hours by the start of the Spring 2013 semester.
An externship is a way to get hands-on legal experience, apply classroom learning, and see the inner workings of a judge’s chambers, a government agency, or a nonprofit.
The deadline to apply for externships is 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29. For more information about the externship program, including an online application form, see the Public Service Externship section on this site.
