The UALR Bowen School of Law chapter of the Arkansas Association for Women Lawyers will host a screening of “Miss Representation,” with an audience discussion to follow, at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 25 in the Friday Courtroom at the Bowen School of Law.
“Miss Representation” addresses how mainstream media contribute to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence in America. The film challenges the media’s portrayals of women and girls, which make it difficult for women to achieve leadership positions and for the average woman to feel powerful herself.
This screening is made possible with financial support of the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas, the Arkansas Association of Women Lawyers, Stephanie Harris, and Files & Brasuell. Snacks will be served during the event.
