Animal Law CLE Planned April 12

On April 12, the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law will serve as host for the Practical Animal Law continuing legal education program. Registration from the event will benefit the Humane Society of Pulaski County and the Central Arkansas Rescue Effort for Animals (CARE).

Attorneys can receive six hours CLE credit, including one hour ethics credit. The day-long CLE program will cost $75 for attorneys and $60 for non-attorneys or attorneys who are not seeking CLE credit.

The Humane Society of Pulaski County is a local, non-profit organization that depends on donations and operates a “no-kill” shelter dedicated to the care and adoption of homeless, abused, and abandoned animals. CARE is another local nonprofit rescue and spay-neuter organization. It operates programs which include rescue, fostering, and adoption of animals, as well as providing clinics and grants to assist pet owners in sterilizing their pets.
