March 29, the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law held its annual 1L Advocacy Slam. First-year student Logan Parke won the moot-court-style competition where the participants prepared arguments on both sides of the issue presented as if they were arguing before the Supreme Court of the United States.
The event is planned and judged by the members of the moot court board, and the top oralist is crowned the winner.
Cody Bassham won second place in the event.
