Women’s studies professor to lecture at Bowen

Professor Sally J. Kenney of Tulane University will speak on women as judges and gender issues at noon Aug. 22 in the Friday Courtroom at the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law.

This talk is sponsored by the Arkansas Association of Women Lawyers Student Chapter and the UALR Gender Studies program.

Kenney is the executive director of Newcomb College Institute, Newcomb College Endowed Chair, and political science professor at Tulane University. Dr. Kenney has over 24 years experience in women’s studies. She has produced more than 25 teaching case studies on women and public policy. Kenney is currently studying female state supreme court justices and advocating for more women on the bench.

The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
