Bonnie Johnson (’05) and Dean DiPippa visit during the Nov. 15 reception for the newest edition of the Legal Guide for Arkansas Nonprofit and Volunteer Organizations. Johnson was the lead author on the guide which was designed to help nonprofit or volunteer organizations operate in ways that are in compliance with state law and are in the best interest of their organization’s mission.
The Legal Guide was produced through the efforts of UALR William H. Bowen School of Law, the DHS Division of Community Service and Nonprofit Support, the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office, the Arkansas Community Foundation, and Williams & Anderson, PLC.
Over 100 Bowen alumni, friends, and family gathered at the Jack Stephens Center on Saturday, February 4 to cheer on the UALR Trojans. This year’s Bowen Alumni Night was held at Fisher Court. A delicious dinner of hamburger sliders, parmesan chicken, and mini corn dogs was provided by Capers Catering.
Lawrence Orta (’09) and Abraham Perez (’13) visit during the Arkansas Journal of Social Change and Public Service unveiling party on Thursday, February 29.Â
The new bi-monthly journal will be published online and will include scholarly articles and editorials on a variety of subjects with a focus on areas  insufficiently examined in traditional scholarly publications.
