Bowen Professor Josh Silverstein’s article “A Case for Grade Inflation in Legal Education” has received much national attention from legal and education scholars and mainstream media for its assertion that law schools should set their “good academic standing grade point average at the B- level.” 

Winners of the 2013-2014 privately funded scholarships at UALR William H. Bowen School of Law have been announced. 

March 28, the UALR Law Review marked its 35th Anniversary of publication with a reception honoring alumni and Dean William H. Bowen.  

The UALR William H. Bowen School of Law student body has elected leaders for its Student Bar Association for the 2013-2014 school year.  

Legal professionals from around the state will visit the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law April 1 to talk with students and recent graduates about their firms and law practices. 

April 4-7, the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law will play host to the SE/SW People of Color Legal Scholarship Conference 2013.  

On April 12, the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law will serve as host for the Practical Animal Law continuing legal education program.  

The Bowen Alumni Association will partner with Taylor and Taylor Law Firm to sponsor the Bowen Alumni Night at Dickey-Stephens Park on April 20. 

Two Bowen grads, Rep. Davy Carter, ’05, and Sen. Michael Lamoureux, ’99, are now leading the state’s 89th General Assembly. 

Michael Hunter Schwartz has been named as the new dean of law at the William H. Bowen School of Law.
