Robert M. Fleming is the Budget Director for the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law where he also serves as the Director of Non-Academic Services. He came to Bowen from RCF Corporation where he held the position of Treasurer/Controller. Prior to his position with RCF Corporation he was a band director in various public schools in the state of Arkansas.
Fleming received a bachelor of arts in music education from Arkansas Tech University, a master’s degree in education from the University of Arkansas – Fayetteville, and a master’s degree in business administration from UALR. He has also completed the College Business Management Institute certification program co-sponsored by the Southern Association of College and University Business Officers and the University of Kentucky. The three-summer series of studies on the UK campus is designed to provide an overview of current issues and procedures applicable to institutions of higher education.
Fleming currently and previously has served on the Board of Directors of both not-for-profit and for-profit corporations. He served on the financial audit committee of the central district of the Arkansas United Methodist Church and served for three consecutive years on the scholarship committee of the Southern Association of College and University Business Officers. He is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, Southern Association of College and University Business Officers, National Association of College and University Business Officers and the North American Brass Band Association.
