Campus and Library Power Outage

On Sunday, April 7th, electrical power will be shut off to the south and central sections of campus beginning at 7 a.m.  This will affect 23 campus buildings for six to eight hours. The library expects to open at 3:00 p.m. During the power outage, library electronic resources are expected to be available.

The power shutdown is necessary to make repairs to the primary switch between Entergy and the south end of the university. The moderate outside temperatures at this time of year should result in acceptable indoor temperatures during the shutdown.
