UALR Librarians Present Research

Librarians Donna Rose and Maureen James attended the 33rd Annual Charleston Conference Issues in Book and Serial Acquisition, November 6-9, in Charleston, South Carolina.

Together, they presented a poster session, Creating Subject Guidelines: All Hands on Deck, which summarized the work of the library collections team and library selectors in creating guidelines for developing the library’s collections. This poster also built upon the work they presented at last year’s Charleston Conference on the viability of creating collection development policies and guidelines. Their table attracted a number of participants and several requested additional information.

Reference Librarian, John Siegel, attended the Undergraduate Education for Public Health Summit, sponsored by the Association of Schools & Programs of Public Health (ASPPH), in Boston on Saturday, November 2. He did a presentation on his extensive LibGuides work with Amar Kanekar, Health, Human Performance, and Sport Management, and Dr. Kanekar’s health education classes.
