Since its inception in 2009, the Ottenheimer Library Development Board has conducted the following fund-raising activities:
- Celebrating the Library: Moving Out of the 70sÂ
- Appeals letter campaigns in 2011 (LRJC) and 2012 (emeritus faculty and authors of UALR dissertations) raised $1420.
-  The Ottenheimer Foundation donated $250,000 for exterior improvements to the library in 2010. The gift funded an 18-month improvement plan.
- Â In 2009 the board hosted the Gathering, an event to benefit library student worker awards fund at Magnolia Hill. The award was intended to provide one-time funding for one or more juniors or seniors with an interest in working in the library environment. Award winners were Sanjita Parjuli (Circulation) and Samantha Youngs (Government Documents).
