Gifts and Endowments: A Critical Difference
Over the years gifts and endowments have played a major role in shaping the character of the Ottenheimer Library and its ability to promote the mission of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. It is with deep gratitude that we honor the benefactors who have helped advance UALR through their support of the Ottenheimer Library.

Endowments that support the acquisition of materials and other activities:
Compton Library Fund                     Â
Established in 1991 through the generosity of LaNell Compton in memory of her father Thomas Smith Compton. Funds are to be used to acquire materials in the humanities.
Halberg Trust Library Special Projects                    Â
Established in 1991 by Harry Nichols Halberg and Edith Lillian Halberg.
Fribourg Fund/Library                      Â
Established in 1994 to honor James Fribourgh. Funds restricted to the purchase of materials in the field of History of Biological Sciences.
Sanders Library Endowment             Â
Established in 2000 By Kathryn Wolpers Sanders, former Director of the Ottenheimer Library, to provide unrestricted funds for the purchase of books and research materials.
Traylor Endowed Fund                    Â
Established in 2006 by William Traylor, former Director of the Ottenheimer Library, to provide unrestricted funds for the purchase of library materials.
Williams Fund/ Children’s Lit          Â
Established in 1998 through the generosity of June H. Williams in honor of her mother Helon Brown Williams to purchase award-winning children’s books.
