The Reference Department of the Ottenheimer Library provides research assistance for UALR faculty, staff and students as well as members of the Central Arkansas community. The Reference librarians also offer library instruction for UALR classes, serve as faculty liaisons, assist with government documents, and select books for the library collections. Please call 501.569.3123 or 1.800.340.9367 for assistance. You may also contact us online.

Instruction Services

The Library Instruction Coordinator can recommend and arrange an instruction session to accommodate your needs. Students are highly encouraged to talk to their instructors if they feel that library instruction would be beneficial as part of their class. Librarians have prepared online guides to help locate appropriate sources for conducting research in specific subject areas.

Upon request, librarians also provide instructional sessions for classes from area high schools.  See the School Visit Guidelines for additional information.

Government Information

Most of our government documents are in the library’s catalog and many can be checked out. For additional information please contact our Government Documents Librarian or visit our Government Information page for further information and assistance.

Services for Patrons with Disabilities
