The moment the Empire of Japan attacked the United States, the lives of Japanese Americans everywhere were forever altered. Following the bombing an already strained relationship with the Caucasian American community became even more tenuous. This led to the signing of Executive Order 9066, which relocated over 100,000 Japanese Americans to prison camps around the country--including two camps in Arkansas.
