UALR Doctoral Student Awarded Scholarship

UnknownNathalie Massanelli, a doctoral student in the UALR Reading program, was awarded the Charles and Nadine Baum Scholarship for the 2014-2015 academic year. The scholarship will pay for eight graduate hours each semester, and will enable her to continue the pursuit of her Ph.D. in Reading Education.

Nathalie’s research will use a mixed method design to study the effect of using historical fiction novels with teacher facilitated literature discussion groups on the development of children’s wisdom as related to their analysis of characters’ actions.
