M.A.R.R.E (Missouri Association of Reading Recovery Educators) organization’s goal is to support administrators and literacy educators across the state of Missouri. MARRE hosts an annual literacy conference that strives to meet the professional development needs of our educators. MARRE is affiliated with the Reading Recovery training site at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. MARRE’s board of directors collaborates and plans our conference sessions under the direction and support of our Reading Recovery Trainers, Dr. Linda Dorn and Dr. Janet Behrend .

MARRE and the UALR Center for Literacy are proud to sponsor the annual MARRE conference. This premier event takes place on December 6-8, 2017 at the Hilton Convention Center in Branson, Missouri. The MARRE conference is designed to enhance educators’ expertise. Our conference will begin with a choice of preconference sessions Wednesday, December 6th provided by Dr. Janet Bufalino, or Dr. Linda Dorn and Carla Soffos. Dr. Sue Duncan will begin our conference on Thursday, December 7th with a powerful keynote session. We will have featured sessions by Carla Soffos and Pay Grayson. Twenty-five breakout sessions will be offered under the strands of Reading Recovery, CIM (Comprehensive Intervention Model), and Classroom.
