If you do not meet the full admission requirements, you can still apply to the program. In rare instances, students who show particular promise despite weaknesses in admissions materials are admitted to the program on a conditional basis.

Those students who are admitted conditionally and maintain a 3.0 average in the MALS program for the first 9 hours of graduate work are then accepted into the program as regular students. Those students who do not maintain a 3.0 average in the first 9 hours are dropped from the program.
