Equipment Requirements
Minimum System:
- PC Windows-Based computer
- Pentium 400 MHz or greater
- 64 MB of RAM (128 MB RAM if using Windows XP or assistive technology)
- multimedia capabilities (including speakers and sound card)
- Internet Explorer 6 or greater OR Mozilla Firefox (free download available)
- Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word
- RealPlayer and Quicktime
- DSL, Cable, or T1 Internet connection*
*Accessing course materials with a 56K modem and a dial-up Internet service may be possible in some geographic areas, but a faster connection is strongly recommended.
Screen Reader Software
Screen reader programs, such as JAWS, will require the newer versions in order to access the program course delivery software. Please check the software provider’s website for updates.
Real Video Player
Real Video Player and sound capabilities are necessary to view the video stream. A free version of RealPlayer is available from the real.com website. If you do not have Real Video Player installed, please follow these guidelines:
- Click here to visit the RealPlayer website.
- Click on the “Free Download” icon.
- Click the “Save File” button on the pop-up window.
- When the file download is complete, double click the file to install
- Follow instructions provided with the installation program
Braillewriters
