Financial Assistance
The Rehabilitation Teaching program currently has a federal grant funded by the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) through July 31, 2010. The grant provides some financial assistance to a limited number of qualified students enrolled in the RT program. The scholarships pay tuition for two courses fall semester, two courses spring semester, one course summer semester, and a stipend of $250 per course per semester.
Students receiving a grant scholarship enter into a contractual agreement with RSA, which requires a graduate to work for a state, federal or non-profit private rehabilitation agency for two years for every year scholarship funds are received or the tuition and stipends must be paid back. Part-time student pay-back work requirements are pro-rate on full-time equivalent enrollment. Specific information can be found in the RSA Scholarship manual.
