Department of Marketing and Advertising Chair Position for Fall 2014

Empty Executive Chair Behind DeskThe University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) invites qualified individuals to apply for the Department Chair position in the Department of Marketing and Advertising to begin in the Fall Semester, 2014 (funding pending). The ideal candidate will have a doctorate degree in Marketing and the desire and ability to develop mutually beneficial relationships with the metropolitan business community. Professional experience is preferred. Primary job responsibilities involve further developing the Department’s marketing, sales, and advertising programs. Salary is competitive.

Located in the state-of-the-art Reynolds Business Center, the College of Business houses the state’s lead center of the Arkansas Small Business Development Center, the Institute for Economic Advancement, and the Center for Professional Selling. The Department faculty have won numerous awards for their teaching, research and service, and have been recognized locally and nationally for their innovative educational offerings. The Department offers an undergraduate major with emphases in professional selling, advertising/PR, and general marketing, and a certificate in professional selling. The College offers AACSB accredited programs at the undergraduate, MS, and MBA levels.

Located in the state capital, UALR and the College of Business are in the center of the state’s business, government, healthcare, and nonprofit activities. The area has a mild climate with nearby mountains, lakes, and streams, offering ample outdoor recreational opportunities. The city is culturally rich, with numerous museums, cultural activities, sports organizations, fine dining, and other attractions.
