Aspirations:  Harold wants to teach literature as well as rhetoric and writing.  He would also like to become a professional writer in order to establish connections to allow his students to more easily network.

Research Topic:  An analysis of Phillis Wheatley’s influential concept of mercy in her signature poem, “On Being Brought from Africa to America” on Toni Morrison’s novel A Mercy.
