Arkansas Arts on Tour Program
The Arkansas Arts on Tour Roster for July 2002-June 2003 provides a listing of many of the state's finest solo and ensemble performers, individual visual artists and prepared art exhibitions available for touring within Arkansas. Many of these roster artists can also provide workshops, master classes and open rehearsals, which further broaden the scope of their art. An independent panel of experts chooses roster artists through an audition/interview process. Selections are based on the quality of the artists' work and their demonstrated ability to tour. Arts on Tour Roster Fee Subsidy The Arkansas Arts Council grants a fee subsidy to eligible organizations presenting artists, ensembles or prepared exhibitions listed in the Arts on Tour roster. These grants will subsidize 40 percent of the artist fees listed in the roster, up to a maximum of $2,000. Presenters may negotiate a lower fee with the artist/ensemble than the one listed. If a lower fee is agreed upon, the maximum subsidy to the presenter will be 40 percent of the contracted fee, up to $2,000. The listed artist fee is the maximum amount allowable for the Arts Council's subsidy. The fee covers artist fees/stipends and all costs the artist/ensemble may incur while touring, such as travel expenses and room and board. Any additional fees charged by the artist beyond the roster listing will not be subsidized through the Arts on Tour program.
Eligibility: Presenters are eligible to apply for an Arkansas Arts on Tour fee subsidy if:
