The Navy works with the American Council on Education to evaluate its courses and careers for similar academic credit. This makes it easy for Navy personnel when it comes to translating their training and work into academic credit. Transferring that credit into a traditional college may not be as easy.
At UALR, our faculty senate unanimously passed a military initiative to accept military credit. The university has an academic staff member who is dedicated to doing just that. Our military ombudsman looks at all military transcripts to see if anything can articulate into academic credit at UALR.
Active-Duty Tuition Assistance
UALR accepts tuition assistance for active-duty members. The following is the process:
- Apply for admissions to UALR.
- Send transcripts from any other college to the following address:
