State Hospital Facilities Master Plan - State of Arkansas
State Hospital Facilities Master Plan - a comprehensive review of the three properties, the Little Rock and Benton facilities and property on Shackleford Road, to recommend the best type of development opportunities for these sites.
LR Visitor Signage Guidelines - Little Rock, Arkansas
Develop a signage plan to identify the most visited sites and areas in Little Rock, consolidating existing tours, creating new tour areas routing tourists and deciding the appropriate type and style of signage for each situation.
Downtown Office Space - Little Rock, Arkansas
A study for the Downtown Partnership to analyze the three blocks on both sides of Main Street south of Capital Avenue to determine the feasibility for the State to link and renovate additional buildings for state office use; the report was used in meetings with the Governor and the Stephens’.
Downtown Housing Study - Little Rock, Arkansas
Academic Project - two graduate students compiled a Summary of Census Data for the Downtown Partnership.
UAPB Campus Master Plan - Pine Bluff, Arkansas
Updating of Master plan to account for new growth and building plans.
Medical Corridor Master Plan - Little Rock, Arkansas
Working with the entities along Markham and I-630 - UAMS, St. Vincent’s Infirmary Medical Center, State Hospital, and War Memorial Park and Stadium, LR City Zoo and the VA Hospital all to plan a comprehensive growth strategy and coordinate planning procedures.
Eureka Springs Vision Plan - Eureka Springs, Arkansas
The Donaghey Project was retained to study the ways to reduce tourism and commercial traffic through the historic downtown and develop alternate transportation modes to bring visitors to the community’s core. The Donaghey Project is working on a coordinated set of codes and ordinances to preserve the character of the town and still allow expansion and use changes.
Riverfront Park Plan - North Little Rock, Arkansas
Comprehensive Riverfront Plan from the river bluffs in the west to east of the I-30 Bridge. The plan focuses on the downtown area between the Broadway Bridge and the I-30 Bridge as the major use area.
US Highway 65 Scenic Corridor Study - North Central Arkansas
Submission to the NEA for a $100,000 grant to study the impact of increased tourism between Conway and Branson has on the towns along the route. The focus is to work with small towns and develop ways of preserving their character, defining ways to manage tourism, and study the potential of the highway as a scenic travel corridor.
Heber Springs Tourism Improvement Study - Heber Springs
The city has asked the Donaghey Project to assist the community leaders to develop a vision plan to help visitors thoroughly enjoy the amenities of the town. Plans include improving entrances to the city, a redevelopment plan for the Courthouse Square and adequate visitor directional signage for the community and nearby Greers Ferry.
Clinton Presidential Library Site Selection
Begun by the Spring 1994 Urban Design Studio, the site selection study has grown to begin negotiations with the Clintons as to programmatic features and design research. The effort is poised to complete the site selection process with 4 potential location ideas including 1) an urban site, 2) a suburban site, 3) a site linked with existing educational/medical facilities, and 4) dispersed sites around Arkansas.
Big Rock Native American Facility Study
A urban design feasibility study for the use of the Big Rock site for a local Native American organization for education and interpretation of their history; this work was used as the basis of a grant application and as promotional material for the mayor of North Little Rock to develop the site
Six Bridges River District Framework Plan LR & NLR
A comprehensive urban design plan for the river district in both downtowns; plan adopted by Little Rock city board - Dec. 1999
Little Rock Downtown Corridor Study
An extension of the river district planning to provide urban design plans for the downtown core area in Little Rock; the corridors refers to the six major streets through the downtown which can become focus area for new public and private redevelopment; plan adopted by city board - Dec., 1999
Lakewood Property
An urban design plan for the community of Lakewood to determine its future direction for growth, better access to its lakes and green space and restoration of its public art
National Endowment for the Arts Grant-Art in Public Spaces
An urban design study of the potential for a public arts program in the river district of the downtown
Junction Bridge Urban Design
An urban design plan for the “touch-down areas at each end of the Junction Bridge / this study was done in conjunction with the Zimmer Gunsul Frasca architectural firm of Portland whose responsibility was the architectural design for the redevelopment of the bridge into a pedestrian bridge
