UALR Singers score big. Six singers from UALR were state-wide ranked finalists at the annual Arkansas Chapter National Association of Teachers of Singing convention, held at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, February 22–23

14 March 2013—Six singers from UALR were state-wide ranked finalists at the annual Arkansas Chapter National Association of Teachers of Singing convention, held at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, February 22–23. The annual gathering provides students an opportunity to compete for state ranking in their classes, based on age and years of study, and for scholarships. In addition to the winners, who were Memory Apata, Erica Finnie, Derrick Herman, Rachel Manasco, LaLeata Westbrook and Kelly Singer, seven singers were semi-finalists: Jimmy Albrecht, Jeremy Couch, Kevin Ezell, Micheal Lowe, Daniel Morris, Shay Watson, and Jessica Williams.
