Susan Antonetti is a graduate of Arkansas Tech University, where she studied flute with Mary Kay Adams and Karen Futterer. After graduating from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1992 with a masters degree in music performance (conducting emphasis), she focused on instrumental teaching in the middle school and high school levels for 18 years. As a flutist, Susan is in her fifth year as Instructor of Flute at UALR. Her current teachers are Keith Underwood, Professor of Flute at the Mannes School of Music in New York and Christina Smith, Principal Flutist with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
In the past three years, Susan has performed in master class settings for Rhonda Larson, Gary Schocker and Keith Underwood. At UALR, she has performed four solo/chamber recitals. Susan can be heard throughout Little Rock in church performances; primarily with her home church at St. James United Methodist Church, Trinity United Methodist Church and the River City Men’s Chorus. As a member of the Little Rock Wind Symphony, she has performed in the capacity of Principal, Second Flute and is currently the LRWS piccoloist.
