Dr. Yang Xu began in her position as a research assistant professor at CINS in March of 2007 and has since been an integral member of the center’s bio-nanotechnology research group. Dr. Xu’s research focus is nanostructured biomaterial design, synthesis, biofunctionalization, and characterization. Her specific nanotechnology interest is the development of nanomaterials for healthcare and nanomedical applications, such as radio-frequency hyperthermia, drug delivery for cancer therapy, and cancer detection using novel multifunctional nanomaterials.
