To become a Center for Integrative Nanotechnology Sciences user, you must be approved and/or certified) by CINS:
ALL USERS MUST ADHERE TO THE RULES AND GUIDELINES of the Center for Integrative Nanotechnology Sciences at UALR: Violation of these rules may lead to the suspension of your usage rights indefinitely!
Please read the rules and guidelines carefully since it contains sensitive information, including information on Intellectual Property rights!!
Prior to approval (certification) ALL applicants/users must complete and submit these forms:
- CINS Project Proposal Form: PDF | MsWord
- CINS User Information Form: PDF | MsWord
- UALR Undergraduate Research Proposal Form: PDF | MsWord
Users from outside of UALR must also complete the:
- User Institutional Approval section within the User Information Form above
Note: Non-UA system users must also carry proof of Accidental Insurance from their institution/organization/company
Users must also be very familiar with the UALR and UAMS health and safety regulations prior to using the CINS facility :
- Biological Safety Manual
- Radiation Safety Manual
- Chemical Safety Manual
- UALR Safety Operating Procedures
- All UALR Environmental Health and Safety Regulations and Guidelines
All users are also required to complete the UALR General Laboratory Safety Training or CINS Laboratory Safety Training.
Licensed users must be certified by Qualified CINS Staff before the users can access an instrument. The CINS staff also provides guidance, consultation, and collaboration in the analysis of materials. In some cases, additional training may be required. Check with CINS staff for required training on specific instrumentation.
