A reception welcoming two of UALR’s newest administrators to campus will be held Thursday, Feb. 28.
Dr. Dean Kahler began as vice chancellor for enrollment management in October, while Dr. Zulma Toro came to campus in January as the new provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs.
Both traveled south to be at UALR – Kahler was executive director of the Navitas program at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Ky., while Toro was dean of the engineering college at Wichita State University in Kansas.
The coffee bar reception will be from 10:30 a.m. until noon Thursday, Feb. 28, in the Ledbetter Hall of the Donaghey Student Center.
The vice chancellor for enrollment management leads admissions, records and registration, and recruitment departments.
The UALR provost leads six colleges – Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences; Business; Education; Professional Studies, including the School of Mass Communication and the School of Social Work; Engineering and Information Technology; and Science – and two free-standing schools, the graduate school and the Bowen School of Law.
