Casey Teaches Advocacy at National Institute

UALR Law professor Paul J. Casey, a former U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas, joined the faculty for the 36th Annual National Session of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, Building Advocacy Skills, a two-week “boot camp” for trial attorneys.

Lawyers from across the country and the world spent two weeks of intensive trial skills and workshops described as being worth 10 years of courtroom experience.

Participants learned to better perform direct and cross examinations, lay foundations, deliver opening statements and closing arguments, learn the right way to impeach, and do voir dire – examination of potential jurors – followed by instant faculty feedback and a critique of live and recorded performances.
