Children International Students Get Taste of College Life
Children in the third through fifth grades enrolled in UALR’s Children International’s after-school enrichment programs are busy learning “stomp” routines and preparing to open the “End of the World” Greek Step Show at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 5, in Conway.
They will be the first group to perform in what is billed as the largest step show in Arkansas. The event is expected to draw 5,000 spectators and participants. The 30th annual program is sponsored by the Theta Phi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
“Other students their age aren’t stepping like they are,” said Paula Rogers, educational service manager of UALR Children International. “Our purpose is for them to showcase their ability in stepping and for others to see what a great job they are doing.”
